This beautiful kimono was made and used in the late 20th century in northern Japan.
Shibori is a traditional Japanese textile dyeing technique that manipulates fabric to create intricate patterns and designs. The technique involves shaping and securing the fabric in various ways before dyeing it. When the fabric is dyed, the areas that have been manipulated or bound resist the dye, creating areas of color and areas of white or undyed fabric.
This Kimono is made of hand-weaved cotton textiles, the texture of these cotton length and light blue indigo are so beautiful.
