This paper was used to wrap kimonos at pawnshops in the old time. It was used to store customers' kimonos instead of lending them money.

 

The paper was dyed with persimmon to reinforce and became waterproof and saved from insects the paper. Bamboo framework embedded in paper

 

 This one is made about 150 years old, The paper is thickened by being layered and glued together. The original writing has been painted black.
