These kimonos were mainly made of indigo-dyed hand-woven cloth and were used for everyday wear.

The sleeves are made of cloth dyed using a technique called katazome. The pattern here means a feather of a bow and arrow, and has long been considered a pattern of good luck.

The item was actually used, so there are faded colors and holes in places throughout.
