Vintage Japanese Katazome ramie kimono

This beautiful kimono was made and used in the mid-20th century in northern Japan. 

This Kimono is made of hand-weaved indigo katazome-dyed ramie textiles, the texture of this ramie length is beautiful.

Katazome is a Japanese technique of stencil resist dyeing that involves drawing rice-paste designs on cloth, dyeing the cloth, and then washing off the paste.

All hand-sewn with cotton threads, in good condition to wear or hang as textile art.
