This is ramie Kimono made for children in late 20c in northern Japan. It is made of indigo-dyed ramie hand-weaved fabric using the Egasuri technique.
 
Egasuri is a type of Kasuri with a pictorial pattern woven into the weft threads."Kasuri" is a traditional Japanese textile dyeing technique that results in a distinctive pattern characterized by blurred or feathered edges. The term "kasuri" can refer to both the technique and the finished textile. Kasuri involves resist dyeing, where parts of the yarn are tightly bound before dyeing to create a pattern. The bound areas resist the dye, creating the characteristic blurred or mottled design.
 
Symbols to ward off evil are embroidered and sewn at the base of the waist belt.
