This beautiful kimono was made in the early 20 century in northern Japan.
It was made of hand-weaved indigo-dyed natural ramie textiles called Jyo-fu. The fabric is hand-woven from hand-spun yarns, giving it a very textured appearance. The textile was weaved with Kasuri ikat technics.
The back side lining was also made of a ramie ikat textile.
