Japanese vintage cotton textile with safflower dye.

The cloth shows a soft gradation from pink to warm orange, created through repeated dyeing and fading. Safflower, known as beni in Japan, was used to produce these delicate red tones, though the color shifts over time with light and washing.

The surface is thin and slightly uneven, with a light, worn texture from use. A small reinforced section remains on one side, indicating repair and continued use. It has been used as part of daily life.
