Japanese vintage cotton Katazome fragment

A cotton katazome fragment featuring stylized floral crests enclosed within circular motifs.
　
Created using the traditional Japanese katazome technique, the design was produced by applying resist paste through hand-cut paper stencils before dyeing, resulting in clean lines and delicate details.
　
The soft indigo ground has mellowed with age, while the white motifs stand out gently against the fabric. The cotton has developed a supple texture through years of use, and subtle variations in color add depth and character to the cloth.
