Vintage Japanese Katazome Ramie and Checked Cotton Textile

Vintage Japanese textile made from a combination of Katazome-dyed ramie and checked cotton fabrics.

The central ramie panels feature a beautiful blue and white Katazome pattern, combining geometric Asanoha (hemp leaf) motifs with flowing shapes filled with small dotted patterns.

The sides are made from black and white checked cotton, creating a striking contrast between the different patterns and materials.

The fabrics have been sewn together to form a large textile panel. The soft, aged colors and delicate textures give the piece a unique character.

Beautiful as a wall hanging or decorative textile.
