A joined textile made from Japanese cotton fabric over 100 years old.
Pieces of old kimono cloth—indigo stencil prints, stripes, and checks—were stitched together, with additional layers added to reinforce weakened areas.
　
Faded reds, deep indigo tones, and muted stripes appear across the surface, giving the piece the quiet texture that comes from long use.
　
All seams are hand-stitched, and the repairs and layered construction show how cloth was used carefully when fabric was a valuable resource.
　
The structure reflects a practical approach: gathering and reusing every fragment available.
