This large piece of Japanese paper dyed with persimmon was perhaps run over the floor in the past to prevent sunburn in tatami rooms.

This one has a thick, crisp texture and is repeatedly dyed with persimmon tannin to make it sturdy. It was probably cut from a very large piece.

Torn places are reinforced with other washi paper in the old times.

Please note that it will be folded for shipping.
