Vintage Japanese patched silk under kimono

This beautiful kimono textile was made in the early 20th century in Japan. It used as underwear which was worn inside of a kimono.

In old Japan, kimonos that had been worn and liked by previous generations were reused and re-tailored into kimonos. These colorful kimonos were also worn by those of high status or those who supported those of high status.

A nice collector's item, but there are a few places where it's torn. So please use it more for display.
