This textile is made of indigo dyed hand sashiko stitched thick cotton and has comfortable touch. It made in early 19th century in japan.

 

Made as firemans working cloth, they are tough and can be use for daily.

 

In the back, the kanji is telling the name of the towns brigade.

 

In the front one can read some infos about more info about towns.
