Maekake is a traditional style of Japanese apron, tied at the hips and worn by farmers, craftsmen, and the staff of certain shops.
All hand sewing and holes are repaired by sashiko stitching. It became very soft that repeated washing and mending much time.
The waist code was made of reconstructed cotton.
Perhaps it was made in the late 19th century and use for mid 20th century in Northern area Japan.
