Maekake is a traditional style of Japanese apron, tied at the hips and worn by farmers, craftsmen, and the staff of certain shops.
This apron is reconstructed with kasuri-weave kimono cloth.
It was probably made about 50 years ago. It is all hand sewn and in very good condition.
