This beautiful BORO  jacket was made in the early 20 century in the northeast side of Japan.  


The front part of the jacket is mainly made of Kasuri ikat weave fabric, and the lining is made of plain hand weaved cotton fabric. The whole surface is embroidered from the front through the back.


This Kasuri (ikat) called Yukinko pattern means snowflakes. Some holes were repaired with hand sashiko stitching.
