This beautiful BORO jacket was made in the early 20 century in the north side of Japan.
The front part of the jacket is mainly made of Kasuri weave fabric, and the lining is made of plain hand weaved cotton fabric. The whole surface is embroidered from the front through the back.
This Kasuri (ikat) called Yukinko pattern means snowflakes.
A nice collector's piece.
