This is a Sakiori Kimono's belt fabric made in the middle of the 20th century.
 
Sakiori is a traditional technique and fabric that uses edge cloth (thinly torn pieces of worn-out cloth or clothes) and tightly woven into garments for daily use.
 
Sakiori is generally woven using cotton for the warp and thin, worn-out cloth for the weft.
 
It is strong and warm, and the more it is used, the softer the texture becomes.
