These Japanese vintage tabi socks are made from indigo-dyed cotton with a beautifully textured woven surface reminiscent of kogin-style fabrics.

Designed with the traditional split-toe construction, they were made to be worn with zori or geta and were an essential part of everyday clothing.

The thick cotton fabric remains in very good condition with relatively little sign of use. Hand-sewn construction and fabric ties reflect the practical craftsmanship of the period, while the rich indigo color and woven texture have been well preserved.

Suitable for display, textile collections, or as a unique decorative object.
