This cotton kimono was made for kids, It was worn on a daily basis in old times.

 

It was made of indigo-dyed fabric using the Katazome technique.

 

"Katazome" is a Japanese technique of stencil-resist dyeing that involves drawing rice-paste designs on cloth, dyeing the fabric, and then washing off the paste.

 

Some holes were repaired with Sashiko stitching.
