This beautiful indigo-dyed ramie kimono was made and used in the mid-20th century in Japan.

This Kimono is a traditional Japanese garment made from ramie fabric, a natural fiber derived from the stalks of the Boehmeria plant (commonly called China grass).

Ramie is known for its lightweight, breathable, and durable qualities, making it particularly suited for summer clothing in old times.

All are hand-sewn, and in good condition to wear or hang as textile art.
