This is a Semamori sample book, a collection of sample stitches for amulet stitching patterns to be sewn onto children's kimonos to ward off evil spirits.
 
It is approximately 100 years old and was hand-embroidered with threads from that period. The various symbols are very well designed.
 
All pages are embroidered, there are 25 pages.
