This is a fragment of a silk kimono. It was used for the part of an old silk kimono.

 

This silk length is called Tsumugi textile. A "tsumugi kimono" refers to a type of kimono made from tsumugi silk, a textured and irregular silk fabric, giving the kimono a natural and slightly rustic appearance.

 

It was sewn together with another silk lining and Sashiko stitched by a silk thread to reinforce the textile.
