This is a Boro textile made over 100 years ago. It was found in the  west of a region, Japan.


This textile is made of multiple layers of indigo-dyed fabric with sashiko stitching all over it.  Mainly used plaid check ikat hand-weaved textiles.


All hand sewing and many holes are repaired by sashiko stitching with a lot of beautiful indigo textiles. They repeated washing and mending to become very soft.
