This is an indigo-dyed soft and thick indigo rug. It was probably made and used more than 100 years ago.
Both sides were made from mainly hand-weaved striped indigo textiles. This textile is made of multiple layers of indigo-dyed fabric with sashiko stitching all over it.
All hand sewing and many holes are repaired by sashiko stitching with a lot of beautiful textiles.
It repeated washing and mending to become very soft.
You can use a rug or hang it as textile art.
