This textile was made of 6-length hand-woven hemp fibers. It has a thick and rough texture.

It has been repaired in places with holes, but it is very rare because it was repaired with rare fabrics such as Sakai Sarasa and hemp threads.

Sakai-sarasa is a type of traditional Japanese textile known for its intricate and vibrant patterns. These patterns were inspired by Indian calico textiles. It originated in Sakai, a city in Osaka, Japan.

Some of the kanji characters are the family crests of the families that used them.
