Sakabukuro is a traditional Japanese bag or cloth used in sake production to hold the rice mash during fermentation and allow liquid to drain out, separating the sake from solids.

Sake bags were repeatedly dyed with persimmon tannin to reinforce them, and holes were reinforced with Sashiko stitching.
