This paper was used to wrap kimonos about 100 years ago, called Tatou-shi.

Paper was very precious in Japan at that time, so various types of paper were glued together and reworked into a single sheet.

Various types of paper are recycled and used, so it has an artistic element and is beautiful. It is also recommended to hang it in the sun to create a very beautiful gradation.

This one dyed with persimmon, used to wrap kimonos when pawnbrokers took them into custody and lent them money.
