An indigo dyed patchwork textile, originally used as a futon cover, made from Japanese old cloth.
This piece was part of everyday bedding, constructed from many reused indigo cotton fragments stitched together for strength and continued use.
 
Variations in indigo tone, areas of wear, and softened fabric reveal long-term use and repeated washing.
 
Several sections show later repairs, where additional cloth was applied purely for function.
When fully opened, the structure of the patchwork and the quiet rhythm of the stitching become clearly visible.
