This cloth is made of indigo dyed using the stencil dyeing technique.
 
However, this katazome is the opposite of the usual one: the white part is the base and the floral pattern is dyed in indigo. This is very rare and hard to find now.
 
This one has a few holes and damage, repaired with beautiful sashiko stitching.
