This noren curtain is made from repurposed fabric originally used for summer kimono garments. The material—known as ro, sha, or yasha—is a type of sheer, lightweight textile woven for breathability and elegance during Japan’s humid summers.
The patterns were applied using traditional katazome (stencil dyeing) techniques, showcasing the refined craftsmanship of the period. The soft white motifs resemble clouds drifting across the sky, bringing a sense of tranquility and movement.
Perfect for summer interiors, the fabric gently filters light and adds a calm, airy atmosphere to doorways or rooms.
※Bamboo sticks are not included.
