This antique textile features a katazome (stencil resist-dyed) pattern of cranes and bamboo enclosed within circular frames, surrounded by swirling vine motifs.

The crane, a traditional symbol of longevity and good fortune, is paired with bamboo, representing resilience and vitality — a harmonious and auspicious design often found in Japanese folk textiles.

Hand-dyed in natural indigo on cotton, the fabric has aged into soft shades of blue with gentle fading and texture from years of use. Once part of a kimono or futon cover, it reflects the quiet elegance of Japanese craftsmanship.

Perfect for wall display, textile art, or interior decoration.
