This is an old Japanese cotton textile. The several hand-weaved textiles were patched by hand Sashiko stitching in old times. These indigo-dyed and the faded colors are so beautiful.
This one was made of hand-woven cotton length. They were used repeatedly as kimonos, futons, etc., and have many damages and repairs by Sashiko stitching.
